  History

For the first time 1805 on the Saualpe in Kärnten found, he was originally called Saualpit. Zoisit kept its name later by the Austrian buyer and mineral collecting tank victory mouth baron von Zois (1747-1819)

  Education and discovery sites
Zoisit forms tertiarily under regional-metamorphic transformation of basic Magmatite to lime silicate rock, green slates and Eklogiten.Hoher pressure and water is a condition for its emergence.
Zoisit is divided into the blue Tansanit, the manganiferous reddish Thulit and the green-black-red ruby Zoisit.
